PRE-ORDER - ZAIRE: A Film Noir-Inspired Story

$11.20

Logline:

Filmed during the military occupation of DC, ZAIRE explores the quarantine distance that united two souls, who longed for human comfort, behind and beyond closed doors.

Synopsis:

2021: Covid-19 lockdown restrictions lift. Prematurely.

Return to office mandates, capitalist pursuits and family nuances paint a damning landscape for Zaire and Marcus.

While Marcus may resist the summons to report in-person for work, Zaire longs to lead an 18-month merger across the finish line. But on the eve of the merger’s close, marked by a welcoming gala, Zaire’s boss, Troy, has other plans. Once an abounding loneliness amplifies, Zaire and Marcus seek connection online.

Swiping left/right endlessly, the two swing one another’s way. Marcus invites Zaire over. A time is had. But when a smitten Zaire reciprocates an invite the next day, Marcus... hesitates.
